Cinch Home Services started offering comprehensive coverage for major home appliances and systems 40 years ago. They previously went by the name Cross Country Home Services. The company is known for including rust, corrosion, and unknown pre-existing conditions in its coverage. Cinch goes beyond the minimum standards for comprehensive home warranty coverage.
In this review, we’ll look at their plans, prices, and customer feedback to help future consumers decide whether Cinch is the right provider for their needs.

Clothes Washer & Dryer – Cinch will cover parts and components for two washer and dryer units. Damages due to lack of maintenance are not covered.
Air Conditioning – Cinch will cover almost all parts and components for two units. They do not cover water towers, chillers, or window units.
Electrical – Cinch will cover all parts and components such as lighting fixtures, built-in exhaust, vent, attic fans, and Direct Current wiring.

Coverage Limits
Based on the sample contract found on the Cinch Home Services website, the protection coverage does not include regular maintenance, replacements or repairs handled by a different manufacturer or insurance warranty, and damages that are not from normal wear and tear. If your appliance or system has a pre-existing condition that wasn’t detected by their visual or mechanical inspection, Cinch will include it in the coverage.
Cinch will cover a maximum of $10,000 for items covered by the warranty plan. Each appliance or system has its specific coverage cap which typically falls between $1,000 and $2,000.
Length of Coverage
Every Cinch Home Services plan starts on the date specified on the contract and is valid for twelve months. Contract renewal is at the discretion of the provider and they are required to send notice of intention to renew 30 days before the policy expires. Before you renew your contract, Cinch will inform you of any changes to the cost of coverage.
Bottom Line
Cinch Home Services offers decent plans that cover various house appliances and systems at affordable rates to homeowners. Cinch also allows homeowners to choose the service fee which gives them some control over how much they need to pay.
When a system or appliance breakdown, you want a service that can be contacted any time to process the repair. Cinch knows the difficulties homeowners experience with repairs so they offer 24-hour customer service plus emergency services to send technicians if something is of immediate concern. The most robust plan from Cinch will cover 28 items and provides the choice to add optional items such as pool, spa, and well pump.
If you want a trusted home warranty provider, Cinch Home Services has 40 years of experience and adjusts the coverage and pricing of its plans to match the current industry standards. However, if you want to be able to choose your own preferred contractors, Cinch will not be the best option for you. They have their own network of service technicians to handle the repairs.
